Harry is based on a typeface with a strange name « Too Much » designed by William Bill Seifert in the 70’s for the VGC (Visual Graphics Corporation) foundry. This typeface appeared in the same years as the better-known Frankfurter, designed in its first versions by Bob Newman for Letraset. Too Much appeared at the time as an alternative to Frankfurter, but in a more contrasted version, less mono-linear in capitals only and with some letters showing a more unexpected drawing than its neighbour Frankfurter. Harry is therefore an interpretation that remains very close to the original design, but in which certain aspects and settings of weights, curves and proportions have been modified.
